I had never heard of these before...

the first year we lived here, this was just a straggly looking bush that Dear hubby bumped so many times with the lawnmower. It survived and is now growing..crooked...but growing. I looked them up on the Internet and was amazed at what this skinny thing would one day become. After a rain, the "puffs" glisten like diamonds.

Isn't it funny how we sometimes take a beautiful plant for weeds or not noticing them. I remember we had a plant around the mailbox that we thought were simply weeds, ready to dig it out, but then noticed a little planting tag, and let it grow. It had the cutest little blooms in three different colors growing soon after, and we noticed one of them in our neighbors' front yard, too. He mistakenly cut it down - and his was sooo pretty, too. Anyways, ours unfortunately later dried out in last years drought. But that's just a little story I remembered when reading your blog entry. Hope your little tree will keep growing and glowing! :)
